Beyond straight business, SupplySide East attendees had the opportunity to mix more casually during the networking events held on-site. The Monday afternoon Happy Hour kicked things off, as exhibitors and attendees mingled and chatted with colleagues and associates over cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. This lively gathering, sponsored by Natural Products INSIDER, was the perfect topper after a day of setting up booths, sitting in on compelling education sessions or golfing in the rain.
Tuesday’s Opening Reception, co-sponsored by Kemin and Food Product Design, was held on the show floor as attendees made their way from booth to booth and exhibitors fielded inquiries. The vibe was upbeat and positive, with food stations featuring carved turkey and roast beef, a pasta bar and Asian offerings. Linda Fullmer, commercial director, North America, for Kemin, noted, “This show was very successful for us. Our promotional campaign, new booth graphics, ads in various industry magazines and Web sites and sponsorship at the show contributed greatly to our success.”
Three days of top-notch education and a successful SupplySide East exhibit hall culminated in a delicious drink and appetizer spread that closed the show hours—what better way to say “we’ll see you next year” than at the Appreciation Reception, co-sponsored by Albion and inside cosmeceuticals. As exhibitors and guests said their goodbyes and prepared for the laborious booth tear down, many took a pit stop to enjoy hot dogs, salads and fajitas, as well as hosted beer and wine, to meet a few new faces and toasted over drinks with old industry pals. |
