Rejuvenation from the Inside Out—The Further Potential of Injuv®

Injuv®, a low molecular weight hyaluronic acid (HA) complex, was developed in 1998. When introduced to the U.S. market as a cosmeceutical ingredient, Injuv® was found to help moisturize the skin and make scars less noticeable. Derived from a natural source, Injuv® is produced through an enzymatic process that makes it more bioavailable. Studies have proven that the molecular weight of HA in Injuv® is about 5,000 daltons. This is considered a low molecular weight; however, it can be specifically classified as HA oligosaccharide or HA oligomer. Dr. Wakayama will discuss recent research on Injuv® and its origin, applications and potential.

Speaker: Sachio Wakayama, Ph.D., president and chief scientific officer, Laimu Co., Ltd., and president and chief executive officer, Will-Search Co., Ltd.
